Year 9 of the National Cannabis Festival was one for the books!
MetroLeaf hosted a panel in the Culture Pavilion this year, and we are grateful to our panelists and audience members for an engaging, honest, and hopeful discussion of the post I-71 era and the future of cannabis in DC.
Our panel included:
- Rob Vasquez from DC Xtracts LLC, a DC-Licensed Type 2 Manufacturer
- Caroline Crandall, the CEO of Green Theory DMV, a medical dispensary in the Palisades
- Jay Mills, a longtime cannaDMV community organizer, educator, and activist, as well as licensee and consultant
- Jasmine Byrd, a grant writer and business consultant
- Charles Newsome, our COO
Charles spoke about the need for a centralized marketplace to allow all dispensaries easy and equitable access to manufacturer inventory, the prudent change from a 30-day to a 90-day temporary resident pass, and MetroLeaf’s commitment to patient care and personalized service.
We look forward to Cannabis Fest every year, and we love the space it provides for all sectors of the cannabis community – from home cultivation to manufacturing, from policy to culture, from cooking to consumption, and so much more. We can’t wait for the 10 year anniversary!
